THE ARTIST AND THE STORY

I am from Otta, Norway. I live and work in Oslo.

In 2017 I went from a career as an art therapist and mental health nurse to dive deep into my own healing. I started to remember. I breathed into Sami shamanism and Andean Q'ero energy medicine while studying visual arts.

 I lived slow with my own nervoussystem.

Feeling the ground, earth, my own breath, my senses, bones, flesh and my heart. My soul. The pain. The sorrow. The beauty. The peace. The interconnection with all. Nature.

I breathed inside the turtle shell, forced to recognize the cerebrospinal fluid, my spine and my brain.

My home was the bears den, 

my own female body,

the deep caves,

the womb. 

I breathed deep.

With the beat of the drum.

With the pack of wolves. 

I died.

I cracked open. Dismembered. Again and again.

Am I going mad?

I was guided.

Put together.

Fertile soil. New seeds.

I started seeing in the dark.

My mind expanded.  My heart. My senses.

I could no longer overlook other dimentions. 

I initiated a plan while living snail like and turtle wise.

Let me create an art project where fellow humans may remember their own heart, their true nature, 

that we can dive deep within to heal  and 

that we are here together  - 

with all of life.

I began painting and drawing vibrations from the spirit realms that communicated with me. 

The living myths. The inner  outer mythical landscapes.

The timelessness.

I shaped with natural materials, bones, antlers, wood, wool, skin, furr, feathers and leather. I connected deeper with nature.

I wrote. I rested. I trusted. I healed.

I started dancing to the drum of life.

I started drumming.
